Pikmin 3 hype thread.

This is not a full blown hype thread.

... but in less than a month will will have a new HD entry in franchise that's been on the shelf since the Gamecube days (it's already been 9 or so years since Pikmin 2!)

Maybe you're not hyped for this game, maybe you're weird, maybe you don't belong -- and perhaps you should leave.  

But perhaps not!  Maybe you're still here.

Maybe you need to check out the new "travelers" trailer, 

Maybe you need to understand that this game is directed by the Legendary Miyamoto, it's a game he's very pround of, and maybe one of his best games (admittedly this atricle may be misleading.)

IGN is enjoying it, and Famitsu has already awarded a 9/9/9/10!

The game looks gorgeous, and I get the feeling it will be the best one in the series. So my hype is AAAA+.

I'm so sick of waiting for this game after the delays...I just want to forget about it until it finally releases.

My backup plan, Wonderful 101 also suffered delays. It's nuts.

I own Pikmin 1/2, and I thought they were decent fun inbetween Marios/Zeldas/Metroid. I thought Pikmin 3 would be a fun launch window title as it was a Wii port to Wii U, but I don't see it being some EPIC game considering it's not online. It's just strange situation.

It will be fun though, for fans of Nintendo styIe RTS.

It's good, it's Pikmin so if you don't like them avoid it, if you like them then there's a whole lot to like.

As enticing as it is to download the game a day early, I have to have a hard copy of the game. I've waited years for this game, so I can wait one extra day haha.

As a collector, I'm not going to give up the value of a disc copy.

I also love my ability to sell/trade/borrow discs with friends. No way I'm going digital on console for any game when there is a disc option. I never have and I never will. Retail discs FTW.

yea...i played through half of pikmin 1 on gamecube...then i started NPC pikmin 2 on the wii with a wiimote...sold my gaecube copy and bought the NPC pikmin 1 and beat that with a wiimote.

I REALLY enjoy Pikmin games! Very excited for this! :D

I have never played Pikmin before but I am mega amped for this one. It is easily the best looking game on the Wii U.

The graphics in Pikmin 3 look pretty impressive. The feature that allows you to take screen-caps of the gameplay looks interesting as well. I'm a fan of real-time strategy games, so when I first tried Pikmin 2 on Wii it appealed to me instantly. But I got stuck a few hours into the campaign and haven't yet gone back to get un-stuck. I like how Pikmin 3 still has the Wii remote control scheme, and off-TV play. I will likely get this, but may not be able to afford it until a few months after its release.

This game is going to be Petite'd...6/10 too hard, too challenging, no checkpoints every 5 minutes. :cry:

That art style looks absolutely gorgeous.

Based on early reviews and by how great those images look, I feel like I am going to finish the game wishing there were at least another 100 hours of gameplay to it. :P

hype was tied AA and AAA so no flop.

It is getting to the point where I can predict what a game will score here before I look at the reviews. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but come on.
