Rooting and installing CM10 on my Galaxy S Captivate was very easy, no issues what so ever.
Just get everything back to stock and use the files from this guide: Link

Depending on the flash rom you have... mine was the 2E or whatever it was that's just a pain in the ass. I'll try that guide out... Hopefully I'll be succesful this time around. Thank you.
