The TENAA, China's version of the FCC, has released images of the upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone.

Known specifications:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 (with 4G LTE)
  • 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM
  • 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash
  • Dual SIM support
  • 3300 mAh battery
  • USB Type-C
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Metal body

From what I've heard, they're going to use the invite system again, but their stock levels are going to be considerably higher.

Unfortunately, the low Canadian Dollar will not do you any favours if you plan on purchasing one. Assuming the phone costs 350 USD, that's about 456 CDN by the current rate. At this same time last year, that 350 USD phone would have been 376 CDN.

But what else comparable can I buy for 450$? Not looking to upgrade but was curious about it.

I didn't mean it in the sense that there's a better buy, even at ~450 CDN it would still be a good deal. I was just pointing out how the cost has increased by a reasonable margin in such a short period of time.
