Replays
If you participated in any past tournament and have replays you wish to share, please upload them here and link them in this thread with the proper date and matchup name.
Also, if you are capable of taking replays and convert them into watchable movies, don't be afraid to give it a try. I'm sure those without SC will be very happy to watch fellow GUFU members go at it for galactic glory. :)
To watch replays, save your replays into the replay folder found in in the map folder of your Starcraft file, open the single player mode of Starcraft and go to the "View Replay" option.

Q&A
So what is Starcraft?
In a nutshell, Starcraft is a popular RTS (Real time Strategy) that was released in 1998 by Blizzard Entertainment. It's based in a Sci-Fi universe where the Human Terran, the Warrior-centric Protoss and the locust-like Zerg wage intergalactic war for survival.
Hmm, this sounds interesting. Will I need a high end PC to play it?
The best part about Starcraft (Besides how much fun it is) is it's accessibility when it comes to system requirements. Due to it's age, Starcraft can be played by just about any modern PC, even PCs not meant for gaming at all.
Isn't Starcraft too old? I don't want to jump into a game that's nearly dead...
Valid concern but since games like Warcraft III has a different vibe than Starcraft, players keep coming back to SC. While Starcraft 2 is on the horizon, Blizzard normally takes at least several years after a game announcement to release the game, thus giving you ample time to perfect SC1.
Great! Now to buy it. Is it hard to find and how much does it cost?
The Starcraft Battlechest has been known to be no more than $20 and even as low as $10. The best part? The game is still in print, thus making it as easy to find as going down to your local Walmart.
Will I need to buy any expansions?
The only expansion you need is Brood War, which is in the Starcraft Battlechest anyways.
Anything else I should do before I start playing?
Yes. If you are using a router, please forward the router so you can avoid any connection issues with Starcraft. Here's a site that'll help you with forwarding: http://portforward.com/routers.ht
Added info: Be sure to turn off all background programs before playing online. To do so, go to run and type in "msconfig", go to "selective startup" and uncheck "Load startup items". Restart your computer.
