Would a "Tales of X Final Fantasy" be possible?

It probably doesn't have to be called that, though I'm honestly surprised that we haven't seen an official crossover between the Final Fantasy franchise and Tales series. :x

A valid question, though usually, the Namco X games are often their own games that contain characters from whatever's in the crossover, with the exception of the Capcom-developed Street Fighter X Tekken which was pretty much a Street Fighter game with Tekken characters.

So i guess it depends on who's developing it, though i suppose the most realistic scenario would be a successor to the Dissidia franchise. With that said, I can definitely see people being put off by Fujishima's characters being redrawn by Nomura and vice versa.

However however however, I would like to think that Namco would benefit from getting more exposure if they were to work with Square-Enix to do a Tales/FF crossover

Hmmmmm. I though the studios would be working on it together.

I don't think it's going to happen either. Both games are entirely different from each other, so unless I see Square and Namco shake hands on a deal, I doubt it.

I figured that Namco would've tried to approach Square-Enix about this, again due to the exposure that the Tales series would get if crossed over with Final Fantasy.

Xillia outsold 13-2 in Japan... at this point it's probably not even in Namco's best interests.

I'd love to see something like this happen. Have Namco make a cross-over game with Tales style combat and have Square-Enix make one with their ATB system and tie the two together with some grand story. It'd be especially cool if they could elements from each game affected each other using the save data and choices that players made.

I don't know if Square is interested though
