Was there ever a time where you simply muted the television because the musicwas so bad that it deafened your ears?
Im kind of curious seeing as how I never once in my life muted a game solely for it's music.

I wasn't fond of Final Fantasy XII's soundtrack, I'm used to the music really getting me into everything, battles in particular. This time around it was just way too mellow the whole way through.
The most depressing part of it was, they this one guy in the company, Naoshi Mizuta, who is the natural successor to Uematsu, yet he didn't get the FFXII job. He does great battle music.
Devil May Cry 3 had terrible music. So bad, in fact, that I returned the game, despite being a fan of the original.
And I'd agree with the above poster... almost every single Sega Genesis game I played had horrible sound... remember the sound chip? It was like 5 year old technology...
Chrono Cross. The battle music made my ears bleed. I stopped playing Chrono Cross half way through because of the awful music. majadamusYou're the first person I've seen say that CC has bad music. I liked it myself, but I think Yasunori Mitsuda isn't very good at making battle music. At least not lately...his older stuff is good.

Actually exept the battle music, the CC Soundtrack is in my all-time Top 5...and I played MANY games.
The organ music in NHL '94 for the SNES was torturesiggy3
I liked it. Didn't it have a Van Halen tune on it. I think the game had Jump in it. I really don't remember cause I havn't played any SNES games in a long time.
