Dragonball Z Shin Butouden on the Saturn , some people seem to like this game, but I think its awful.

sloppy controls, slow gameplay (only fast parts are the flying back parts) choppy animations and graphics (if I remember correctly these are the same sprites as in DBZ UB22 on the PS1)

only decent part of it is the music, but thats not enough to save it.

hokuto no ken for the super famicom, not particularly that much worse than others, but the fact that its an awesome anime and got such a terribad game (and has had lots of terrible games, the only redeeming one i can think of being the arcade/ps2 game)

Eternal Champions was an underrated one. It was had good gameplay mechanics with plenty of characters and special attacks. But best of all is that it had a bit of an edgy feel to it and and a dark feel to the art. Plus you could do these sort of Fatality type final attacks that would interact with the environment somehow like throwing a guy in a lava pit (complete MK rip-off but still cool).

My pick for the worst fighting game goes to Shaq-Fu on SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive. It's a fighting game starring Shaqueille O Neil of NBA fame. Need I explain anymore?

Ah yes "Fight For Life" lol. I never owned the Atari Jaguar and since I love fighting games I'm pretty sure this is one of the reasons why. I also agree with "Rise of the Robots" being terrible. I honestly don't know what I was thinking with that one:(

On clayfighter, maybe its just because I was 7 years old when I started playing the first two clayfighter games for the SNES, but I actually like them. They were fun, and had pretty simple special moves. Anyhow, I am going to gree with most of you, not an awful fighting game.

Street Fighter the Movie (Saturn), Shaq Fu (SNES), and Double Dragon 5: The shadow falls (SNES) were all terrible fighting games! (I actaully bought street fighter the movie for the saturn for $25!)

Criticom on the Saturn is BAD. Also the Star Wars game on the PS1 sucked. It was called Masters of Teras Kasi, and I still can't believe I went to the store and bought that.

i enojyed soul calibur 4s rendition of star wars characters alot more than masters of the teras kasi.

and most probably don't remember it but there was a D&D fighting game for ps1, i think it was based on ravenloft or grayhawk, lemme find it, this is awful....

Way of the Warrior was a real piece of crap. It's one of the worst games I've ever played, it's sole salvation is that it featured damn near the entire La Sexorcisto album.Oddly enoughit was developed by Naughty Dog.

Dragon Ball Z Sagas!!!!!,thats is also probably the worst game I hae played since wow.... wait would dragon ball Z sagas be considered a fighting game?

There's so many bad ones that I think I'll judge mine off which game--back in the day--I was really hoping to be good. This game would be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighter for the SNES. What a let down that was for me. I know by now that Street Fighter will never be topped.

I've played Rise of the Robots and Street Fighter The Movie and I can say they really are bad. I haven't played the others but considering the amount of negative feedback I'd say they weren't fighting gems by any means (my quote was a pun).

This game called Tattoo Assassins. Not only is that the biggest Mortal Kombat rip off, but the game looks and plays horrible and the sound really sucks.

judging from the videos? no, they look iffy, but I can't really say for sure until I personally played them

for instance Ive heard from at least a few people saying Kasumi Ninja wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be (though they admit its a bad game, just not one of the worst)

I didn't claim they were the worst I simply picked up some that seem like they could pass as rather bad fighters. Obviously what's bad for someone may be good for someone else.

I thought Weaponlord was pretty lame...especially considering the cool cover art.

Also, can't believe somebody up there dogged Eternal Champions. No it didn't have Street, Final, Art, Showdown, Mortal or King in the title but it was a d*** good fighting game. One of my favorite for the Genesis. My friends and I spent many a weekend playing it. Oh well to each their own.

Ditto for me...I had great times with that game. Large well drawn sprites, a good story, a nice combat system that was balanced, and overkills? Animation wasn't that great, but the game all in all was a good one.

MTV Celebrity Deathmatch. I found it in a bargain bin for like $5, took it home, beat it in under an hour and never played it again. I miss my $5...

I was actually considering putting the original Tekken and Saturn VF1 into my list, but I figured that despite the fact I dislike Tekken 1 , its not as bad some some, and VF has good gameplay despite the poor port and iffy frame rates.

Im still going with Shin Butouden

the controls are laggy, quite boring to play, and just looks terrible, other then the colour count, I find Street Fighter 2 looks better

apart from the decent music, the only good part is the amount of chcaracters you can choose, bt since the game plays badly, it doesn't help it, especially once the novellty of flying around and shooting fireballs goes away.

By the way: considering how there are no arcade-perfect Model 1 ports on the Saturn - could we conclude that the Saturn actually wasn't capable of Model 1 perfect ports?
