WORMS Appreciation thread

Which Worms game do you like the most? Classic 2D, or the newer 3D worms games?

What are your favorite weapons? For me it has to be the banana bomb - I love the way it just obliterates the battlefield!

Funnily enough, the worms game I enjoyed the most was the cell phone version 'Worms 2003', as it was super simple and had great physics and gameplay + I could play it on the bus!

I may pick up Worms Armageddon on the N64 if I comeacross it at a decent price. It seems quite rare.

I always prefered it when the worms were just squigly lines with eyes for some reason, so I guess my favourite is the original

I've been looking out for Worms: The Director's Cut for years now as that was the last Worms games made by the original designer, and is supposed to be excellent, but being that its an exclusive Amiga game (and a late one at that) its fairly hard to find.

I like the originals but now only play mostly the 3d ones on live with friends or as a great party game when people come over.

I like the original Amiga version and I played the Playstation version (2D). I have played some worms in 3d, but find the interface too difficult to enjoy. You have more control over things in 2d IMO :)

Played the original Worms on the PSOne & loved it.

Downloaded the updated 2d versions on XBLA & still have a blast playing them.

Worms Armageddon on PC is the best by far. It still has a big online community and still gets new updates since the game code was released to the community.

Worms World Party and Worms Armageddon are just brilliant.

I've tried the different versions of Worms on the Gamecube, DS, PS3 and blah, nothing like the PC experience.
