I have been wanting to play this series for the longest time, and i just want to know what the chances are of it coming to America in some way, shape, or form. Ever since i played Smash Bros on the N64 i thought Ness was the coolest. Ive heard rumors of a Mother 1 + 2 DS release, and im still hoping it will somehow come to the VC. I really dont want to have to buy a SNES and the game for like 100+ bucks. Does anyone here have any info or anything about this? I really want to play it.

Thats crap. Earthbound or Mother2 in Japan is widely recognized as one of the greatest RPGs of all time and it is. I love d this game. So to the TC there is supposed to be a virtual console demo of Mother in Brawl along with other VC demos. This has led many to believe that it could be coming to the VC before to much longer.
Mother 1 + 2 is actually already out in Japan (it was for the GBA, not the DS), but I don't think there's been any announcement of a North American release. Ditto for Mother 3.
I've been jumping up and down about an English release of the games for the longest time as I've always held Earthbound as the greatest game ever made. Sadly, however, I still have heard nothing, but I nonetheless keep hope alive.
