Why was the old rating system removed for reviewing games? I mean, in the old one, you could find it hard to give a game a score overall, so you could rate Graphics, gameplay ect. individually to get a score given to you. Now you can only choose scores in 0.5 intervals, so if you wanted to give a game an 8.3, you're gonna have to choose between 8.0 or 8.5. I just thought i'd bring this up.
For me it's about recognising that a review is never about absolutes, it's about opinion. When you narrow down the scoring system you actually get more realistic reviews in my opinion.
Eh, at times it bothers me. At other times I don't care. It only annoys me when there are two different games and one is superior but not by an overwhelming amount, yet they still recieve the same score. Aside from that, it is nice to see a system that is technically out of 20 points rather than 100. It is often more simple and gives you an accurate impression of whether it should be bought or not. That is all that is necessary, to be honest.
