I remember playing Pong at a friend's house when I was a kid. He kept saying how neat it is. I kept saying how boring it looked.

Granny's Garden on the ZX Spectrum around 1984/1985. My first ever console game was Pac Man on the Atari 2600 back in 1985/1986.

They were old games on an Atari 400 or 800 I think. Been playing games since I was old enough to hold a joystick.

I don't remember exactly what the first one was, but probably Pacman, Pitfall, Jungle Hunter, E.T., or that game where you're that guy running around trying not to touch walls (so you won't be electrocuted).

My mother was dating a police officer and he had the Home Pong console. This would have been about 1977 because I had seen Star Wars 10 times around that time. Now over 30 years later I own 12 consoles plus my PC and over 350 games accross them all.

The first games I ever played were arcade games back in the late 80s. I forgot what it was called, but it was this off road racing game that I thought was a blast, and also another car racing game that had 3D graphics. In terms of console games though, that would have to be Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis.

Earthbound! :) I'll never forget my first time playing it. It took me nearly 2 years to complete! I didn't play it really often though, but when I did pick it up I couldn't put it down! The ending with the 8 melodies was the most emotional game moment I ever experienced.. definitely a life changing game. :D

we had some Atari games when I was young, even a few Commodore 64 games, but I really didn't get hooked until the NES Super Mario Bros & Duck Hunt (the dual ROM), Mario Bros 2 & 3, Metroid, Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Commando, Double Dragon, Track & Field, Blades of Steel, Contra, Castlevania, Wrecking Crew, Ghost & Goblins, Goonies 2, Top Gun, Duck Tales, Tecmo Bowl, Bionic Commando, Mega Man (not sure which ones), Little Nemo, and my sister got me into the Snoopy game (whatever it was called)... that's what I can think of

Played Street Fighter 2 in the arcades and insisted I wanted one at home, finally saved up to buy the console and went and bought NES when I should've bought Mega Drive 2 instead since SF2 was only out on the MG2.

Played lots of Super Mario Bros. on it and then finally upgraded to MG2, never played Street Fighter on it since there were so many other games that kept me busy like Pirates! and more

Well, the first console game I ever played was Super Mario Bros. on the NES I got for Christmas when I was about 5-6 years old. Another early gaming experience for me was when I used to play arcade games at the pizza parlor.
