What was everyone's first console?

do you guys still keep all the consoles that you've ever bought?

 i've had:

- gameboy > gameboy pocket > gameboy colour > gameboy advance > gameboy advance SP > NDS >NDS lite

- playstation one (which i accidently blew up because i forgot to plug in the transformer) > playstation 2

- xbox (crystal limited edition) >xbox 360

- playstation portable

 going to buy:

- wii

bold are the ones i currently have....after reading all the setup posts, i see that most people keep all their consoles and games, i wish i have done that, or else now i'll have a super huge collection since i've been gaming since i was 4 or 5....

NES was the first sytem i owned.

My family had a Radio Shack Pong clone that you hooked up to the TV.  Technically I guess that's my first console. Then the year after, 1982 we got an Atari 2600 along with the god awful Pac-Man.

Nope, it was the Fall of 1972.

It predated both the Atari Pong "arcade" cabinet (released in November, 1972) and the Sears/Atari Pong home consoles (which weren't released until 1974/75).  Magnavox sued Atari for patent infringement with their Pong implementations and won based on the fact that a Bushnell got the idea from a demonstration Baer and Magnavox gave on using their prototype Odyssey in May, 1972.  Baer's patent predated Bushnell's.

Ummmm... I don't even know! Black and silver box, two knobs on the front and a switch that let you choose between several games that were all, in retrospect, basically pong.

 I was young enough not to even care what it was called.

my(our) first console was the nes, was for the family, and no havent kept all the consoles ive/weve had, i only have my 64 and ps3 now

My first console is Pong.

I kept all the consoles except Snes and N64. I bought the Snes back 4 years ago, but Im about to give it away.
