What is the oldest game series?

Metal Gear I think. Its been around since the MSX systems which was back in 84 if I recall right.BoxTrick

Wikipedia says metal gear was back in 87 on the MSX2. Mario was first released on the NES in 85. Are there any other series older than mario?

Ultima, so long as Ultima Online is still active (?). This was the basis for RPG's like Final Fantasy.

Pac Man was released in 1980 and still remains marketable. I know they had a XBLA Pac Man game recently.

Pacman and Tetris? If you mean more serious games besides Pong and others I might have to say Mario.

Wow, if you guys can read, i said SERIES. Tetris and Pac man isn't a series really. Also, it's being remade, not necissarily "still going on" but just remade. "Still going on" as in NEW games.

Pac Man has had all different forms...pinball, a few 2D platformers, 3D platformers (like Pac Man World 1 & 2) and the game is not just being remade....there were alot of major additions to add online play or work with the GBA adapter on the Gamecube last gen.

Still, i don't concider Pac Man a series, i still find it a game, an arcade game
