What do you think about a good racing game

What features do you think a good racing game should include ?

To me personally it should include : sharp and high graphics , large range of cars , free roam , lots of options for tuning (performance , suspension , visual ) , lots of competitions

I agree with this except the free roam. Not in a racing game. Would like to see a lot more tracks. Not just any car, but all the cars that someone did race.

Almost forgot, got to have a really good in car view while driving. That's a must have.

No free roam, plenty of tracks, good structured career mode with sensible progression, some tuning options and plenty of camera angles.

Free roam would not have to be, but realistic cars with their characteristics variables andsome tuning options, nice and long tracks, intelligent but not scripted behavior opponents, and ability to modify the game by adding new tracks, cars and championships.

Realistic handling, deep car setup options (not modifications), plenty of cars, decent championship, high levels of AI, steep learning curve, open support for user-created mods and addons.

Everything else unnecessary.
