1) An external version of the Geforce 8800GT that can be used for laptops when docked, say in your dorm room, so you can play modern PC games when youre plugged in and not have to worry about battery life when all you need is Microsoft Word, say in the classroom or library.
2) More powerful, eco friendly, and battery efficent laptop CPUs from Intel and AMD. I truly believe laptops are the perfect balance between desktop and iphone/blackberry/palmpilot. As a student having a real full size keyboard and a screen big enough to do Word is beyond necessary.
3) A Wii style sequel to the DS, something that forces you to move your body around and be active, but in a handheld.
4) An Oblivion MMORPG.
5) Rhapsody and Netflix built into consoles like 360 and PS3 the way they're trying to with TiVo. No more $6-for-two-days rentals barely fitting onto a measly 20 gig hard drive. No more having to leave your media center PC turned on with sleep-mode off just to get your music into a game like GTA.
6) Actual adult games. Not pornographic immature frat humor "adult", actual games with drama mystery and romance writing tailored to a sophisticated audience. At the very least, a WWII FPS that focuses on the characters and the drama like Saving Private Ryan rather than just randomly killing everything you see like Rambo.
7) A game with harsher rules. Like the old days, if you die enough times, you have to start the whole freakin' game over again. A turn off for casual gamers, but hey wouldn't you take it over a game thats frustration only due to bugs and Bigg Rigging glitches?
8) FCC to declare 1080p as the one and only standard. No more 19" (48cm?) 4:3 aspect 1234x567 interlaced resolution Vizeos being sold as "HDTVs".
9) The arcade industry to return to glory in the U.S.
10) Metal Gear Solid 4. Get it to me. Now. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
