Shinobi 3/Revenge Of The Shinobi come to mind.

You can save-scum now, ofc, but imagine doing that shit without it.

Ninja Gaiden [NES] and Devil May Cry 3 [PS2]. How anyone can beat those games is beyond me.

Ghost n' Goblins

F-Zero GX (story mode on Very Hard)

Evil Within (Dat Akuma Mode)

Dead Cell (Which don't feel like it should be hard. But it constantly kicks my ass)

Nioh (The double boss fights are madness!)

Hmm, played a few. Putting aside multiplayer PvP challenges and Fighting games against insanely skilled players; fought and killed a 140 Apex Rajang a few times in MH4G. I've beaten every Ghost n Goblins game, Bested CastleVania III/ Rondo/ and Vampire Killer without save-states, The Evil Within on Akumu, Devil May Cry 3 on DMD mode, Ninja Gaiden Black/ Sigma/II/ Sigma II on MNM.

& that's just what I recall.

I've beaten so many challenging games that Soul games look mid-difficult by comparison.

That's not a bragging right though, I just typically like a little bite in my games every now and then, and inbetween I play Animal Crossing or a chill puzzle game lol.

I second that.

Way too many Nes games to list.

Recently, Demons Souls, awesome game, but it’s too hard, mind you I beat the dark souls and Bloodborne games, but DS on PS5 is just to hard

Oh, diving into challenging games is always an adventure! Personally, some of the most difficult ones I've tackled include Dark Souls series, Cuphead, and Celeste. The level of difficulty in these games can be brutal, but the satisfaction of overcoming those challenges is unmatched.

Since I don't play Souls difficulty games, I guess... anything by Paradox Interactive, if played their grand strategy games properly and without cheating..

I mostly play at normal settings as I want games to be fun rather than frustrating. Here are some games I found hard even in Normal settings.

1. Grim Fandango: The puzzles were not that easy to solve. It took me days to figure out some puzzles. That's why a 4 hours game took me about 20-25 days to complete.

But the ending of the game without using any guides (guides were not as easily available in the 90s) brought a sense of accomplishment.

2. Earthworm Jim: The gameplay became extremely difficult at the end. I had to use cheat codes to complete the game.

3. GTA III Liberty City: I had to use Tank cheat code as it became difficult at the end. I mostly play games for the fun not to challenge myself.

4. Final Fantasy XIII: I didn't have time to grind. So again, I used cheat codes to complete the game.

Certainly, some challenging games come to mind! Titles like Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Celeste have provided quite a formidable gaming experience. Each game presents unique difficulties, whether it's intense combat, intricate level design, or demanding puzzles. What about you? Any tough games that left a lasting impression and such website i saw at https://frmenu.org/kfc-menu/
