I say SNES, Genesis had some good games but SNES had SO many good games.
btw shouldn't this be in system wars?
Take this to system war plz...This will get locktrophylocosteindeed, console vs console threads dnt really belong here...and personally, i'd take a NES over either of them anyway (i've got both and a NES though..) :P
The battle is on! What is the supreme system?ImpSlayer
The SNES.
That's not to say the Genesis was bad, it was anything but bad.

like becoming a third party developer ;)
lol
I couldn't do without either.
That being said, I have a lot of resentment toward the 16-bit era. I've never seen it any other time, where fanboyism was not only accepted, but expected. I owned both consoles, even back in the day, and I'd get looked at like some kind of nutjob whenever people found out.
It was fun in its own way, though. The fanboys at my school often tried using me as a sort of judge, like whatever version of a big release I picked up was a "victory" for their "side". It blew up in their faces quite frequently though. After awhile it was quite enjoyable to just mess with their heads - through complete honesty, of course.
"What do you mean, you got both versions?!"
"You didn't buy Mortal Kombat II?!"
"What the hell's a Jaguar?"
Everybody knows that the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is the best 16-Bit console ever, compared to the Sega Genesis. :D
The Super NES was the first console I've ever played, and it features one of the best games in that time, from Super Mario World, to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, to Mega Man X, and so on. Of course, the Genesis had Sonic, Streets of Rage, Gunstar Heroes, and more, but the SNES is better.
I say the SNES is superior to the GENNESIS because it had Super Metriod, and Mortal Kombat/s.
Stupid Jack Thompson and his Crusade against Violent Games.
Half-Doom
The Genesis had all three Mortal Kombats, so...
