So you cant even use the Linksys Wireless G USB adapter?

Unless your PS2 comes with windows?

Minimum Requirements
  • PC with 400MHz or Faster Processor:
  • 128MB RAM Memory
  • CD-ROM Drive
  • Available USB Port
  • Windows 98SE, Me, 2000 or XP with Service Pack 1 (or later)

What you need is this, Dual-Band Wireless Gaming Adapter.Only downside is its $100 new, might be less on other internet sites.

bigM doesn't appear to have does his research correctly.

I actually had a wireless adaptor that worked on ps2 and xbox, and was able to play online, so I think you can. Don't quote me on this though.

What you are actually looking for is an Ethernet Bridge, which is what that Xbox adapter is. You can configure it on your PC and then hook it up to your PS2 (or any system, game or otherwise, that supports Ethernet connections.) So yes, in fact you can have a wireless connection to your PS2, just not the USB type.

It should have come with instructions. What model and brand did you get? It might take some tinkering from your side and time if you are not too familiar on how to set up a home network.

I guess it might be for some people, but it is worth it I think.
