It's right to talk about it here. The PS2 may be (somewhat) alive yet, but it's not technically part of the "current generation" of consoles. So discussion of PS2 topics should be here.
In all honesty there is not all that many decent games being released or in development for it so for it to have it's own board would really be a waste, plus Sony did the same with the PSone and kept it around for years after the PS2 came out even though no really good games were released they just do it to have a cheap console out there that will make money.
i wouldnt say that as no one makes games for it trying to sell millions like the others, it just sells because the back catalogue and the fact that the PS3 doesnt have full backward compatability any more so people will only buy it for that it's not competing with anything it's just there now.
Since GS eliminated the PS2 forums, there's nowhere else to talk about it. So here is where people talk about the PS2.garey017

I had Bully since about may 07 but beat the story mode this past monday morning, i was directed to summer sessions which allowed me to continue my task. In terms of school, i only needed English 5. SO when i finally did it, all i got was an unlocked Graduation Hat. So am i missing Somthing here?
How is that an insult exactly? Are you kidding me? The PS2 is on it's way out. Were we still trying to say the PS1 was alive over a year after the PS2 came out? No, we were not.

Yes it was seeing as the first years or so of the PS2's life most people were still playing games on that over ones on the PS2, just like most people probably did as the PS3 came out, until Sony stripped it of being able to play all the games.
The PS2 is alive and kicking! It should have it's own forum. Just remember how active it was!metalgear-solid

But we've been through this before. It's happened, and many of us were extremely anger (myelf included). There's nothing we can do, so we might as well make the best of the current conditions.

Why do people continue to complain about this? Who really cares if its alive or not. Gamespot did this because it would save them forum space to just put discussion of the PS2 here with all the other older systems.
