Please, help me find my childhood memory!!! (arcade game from around 1992)

I'm trying to remember the title of an arcade from the early 90s thatI usedto playwhenI was maybe 11.

It's an action game, top down view, you control one dude - a soldier; gamelooks a lil bit like cannon fodder, first level begins when a helicopter drops you into the jungle, and then you do a lot of killing:), you run around throwing grenades and shooting baddies. The year was maybe 1992-1993.

It very well could be Mercs given the era you played it in. Either that or it was a very old Commando.

I don't think it could be Metal Slug since you said it was top down.
