Apparantly they want to shift the focus from "passive gamers" to the core gamers. I don't know why they suddenly realized this. They have been in there the longest...

Hmm, well good luck Nintendo

This seems like a strange choice just after one of the last big who made their games available on the WiiU has decided to call it quits.

Well, back in the day, Nintendo's games were part of the "core" audience, back when games were still catered exclusively towards children. I think they're finally wanting to get back to that again.

Sorry Nintendo, other companies have made their place my home, working hard toward attaining that core draw while you dismissed it for that easy, casual buck.

Made your bed.

What is this shift going to be? Are they going to drop games like Brain Age and Wii Sports/Fit? Because those are enjoyable games, I don't understand what casual games they're going to move away from in order to focus more on "core" games.

nintendo is for children's games. i didn't always feel that way, since, resident evil and eternal darkness were the first games i played, but, ever since i foolishly bought wind waker i left that idiot console.

i could have woken from a coma and seen zero significant changes from their repertoire.

I hope this translates to another Metroid game soon, as that's one of Nintendo's most mature franchises. I can see that happening, but I doubt it will come true.

They've pretty much abandoned that except for a few franchises. They barely have any mature games aswell

@udubdawgz1: The Gamecube Metroid games are about 10 - 12 bucks used on Amazon, so there's a good deal there--though that's the used price, but Amazon usually sells great quality used items, in my experience. Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games ever, and Metroid Prime 2 is a great game as well. Haven't played 3 yet, but now that I have a Wii I can try it.

@mastermetal777: 10bucks? not too bad, though, we all know it should be 99cents by now, lol. i laugh at the thought of a 40+ year old gamer (me) who began with pong and finally playing metroid prime in, say, 2014, lol:)

@udubdawgz1: lol hey we all have games we miss out on during our gaming lives. I know I've missed quite a few games over the years, and I only began with Super Mario World.
