N64 - Ocarina of time

The game can only be described as magical.

I have recently repurchased in on my N64 but I am busy playing twilight princess on the Wii to start ocarina as yet.

*shakes head*

I remember seeing the ads on TV (when this country STILL had ads on TV for videogames) and I told my dad I really wanted the game, and he refused to buy it. I said I was so convinced I would eat half an onion..and I did >_>

It was totally worth it, though.

Arguably the greatest game ever. Like the other posters I preordered the game. I remember at the time it was the highest selling game ever I believe. (Not counting pack-in games). Of course it's sales have been crushed many times over by more recent games. DeerhunterIA

I love it.

I'm replaying it now, and can't get past that stupid race! I have never completed it, as I get to a point where I have to do something, and it can be very trivial, and just not feel like doing it, or I get a new game or something. It is a very strong contender for best game ever though. Phantom Ganon might be my favourite boss in any game.Junkie_man

No the epona race. I've never had a problem with the Dampe one.

I HATE the frigign water temple. That really almost ruined the game. The most legendary pain in the @$$.HIRED_maniac

Almost worth it for the wonderfull feeling on its completion though.

I just played through it again the other day, and it wasn't as bad as I remember it being. Or maybe it was just the fact that I had beaten it before and had the subconscious memories...

No the epona race. I've never had a problem with the Dampe one.

I've never really had that much trouble with the Epona race...

Here's the strategy I posted in the other topic:

There is a strategy for the races that I've found to work very well. The first race isn't too bad, and you should try to keep the carrots only down one or two at a time. The second race is tougher, and I've found that if you try to hug the corners and use most of the carrots in the straight stretches, you can pull ahead of Ingo a bit, and block him. Doing this, you should be able to beat him. It worked for me, and it should do the same for you.

It's also one of my favorite games, and I know it's a shame but I've never completed it. :ogertjan88
