Most realistic shootem-up games

So what do you guys consider the most realistic shooter out there?

Personallly i would say Arma 3 and Battlefield 4.

I have never played Arma 3 before or any of those games but after watching this video im pretty sure it`s the most realistic shooter out there.

The most realistic shooter is the one that where you get killed 5 minutes after spawning

ArmA has terrible animations and shooting mechanism. Even to this day I prefer Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis.

@ojmstr: Yes. I know the graphics are dated and animations are terrible by today's standards but when you look past all that there's a hidden gem of immersion and realism awaiting you.

Herp. That guy in the OFP vid was playing on bullshit mode.

On the hardest setting (the only mode to play in Flashpoint...everybody knows this)...3rd person camera is disabled and there's no bs auto aim/tracking garbage, on screen helpers are disabled. Nothing changes with the bullet damage or the AI, or the amount of enemies, none of that. It's all about taking away the crutches.

It's night and day. If you're gonna play a game like this why would you go half ass and be such a wimp ? Might as well just play Battlefield or some crap then.

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis

That for me breaks the realism instantly. I could never look at an outdated game like that as the most realistic shooter out there today! Arma3 in VR with full body tracking is probably the most realistic shooter out there judging by the gameplay, graphics and animation combined, also the fact that millitary personal are using this game to practice "real" combat situations i have little doubt in my mind that this is as close you get to realism in a videogame when it comes to shootem-ups.

You got my vote on that.
