Most frustrating gaming lies?

What I mean by this is, a game will tell you to do something one way, but you actually have to do it another way for it to work.

Example and my pic- the griffins wing move in castlevania: harmony of dissonence. It says to press down, then up + jump at the same time to work. Though what it forgets to tell you, is after you press jump, you have to press up and attack at the same time to work at all. This frustrated me for a good bit.

Typically its fighting games that have this kindof problem.
