I really made this thread to vent, but I figured that you guys would just tell me to blog it, so I decided to make a thread where everyone can vent about frustrating levels/dungeons/areas.

For me, the most frustrating is fucking Babel Tower from Xenogears. What an abysmal dungeon. It wasn't enough for Xenogears to have shit platforming; they had to go and build a huge dungeon around said shit platforming. And then there's a bunch of random encounters that you can't escape most of the time. In fact, Babel Tower is so bad that I was thinking of docking a whole point from the game (when I review it) on the basis of it being such a miserable piece of shit.

But at least it had nice music and atmosphere...

Anyway, what are the most frustrating levels/dungeons/areas for you?

How about New Londo Ruins? Or Anor Londo? Both of those are quite rage inducing. Also Blightown. all from the original Dark Souls.

I'll also say Water temple from OoT not because it's hard but because of how tedious it is. Even if you know what you're doing, there's a ton of running around and backtracking that just isn't fun.

The bonus levels from Medal of Honor: Underground, especially Rotten to the Corps. Kudos to anyone who cleared them as a kid

Eggman Land in Sonic Unleashed, at least the first time. I kind of like it now, because I have it memorized, but my goodness, I was just in utter disbelief at how long and hard that level is. The first speedrun trial is 75 minutes for crying out loud.

Honestly, some of the most cringe worthy and rage educing games/moments that I have ever had are all listed here.

But if I had to pick my top five, they would be in this order:

5- Super Mario 64 in general cause that game was just broken to me (and it was super freaking hard)

4-In Ocarina Of Time, when you are young link both the Mountain part and Lord Jabu-Jabu is rage worthy. The mountain is difficult cause once your shield is burned to ashes, you are fucked. Lord Jabu-Jabu was not that hard, but there were two things that stood out. Dragging the Princess around sucks ass, cause like every single escort mission in games, if she dies or if you leave her somewhere, you have to go back for here and go through the same bullshit all over again. Second, the level was just gross.

3-Every Flash game in existence. But the one that sucked for me was Surgeon Simulator and if you've played it you'll understand why. I couldnt even get passed the first ambulance mission (honestly though didnt think Id get that far)

2-Burial At Sea Episodes 1 and 2. Granted bioshock Infinite was a fantastic game and the dlcs were just as good...but like every awesome game there is a few flaws. One, Elizabeth would not shut the hell up and just kept sassing me. Second, I had to be the only person who came across this glitch, but while I was looking for Sally in Rapture as Booker, at some point Elizabeth either disappeared or just would not follow me for a short amount of time (which of course got me killed multiple times trying to get her into a freaking door). Finally, when you have to sneak around as elizabeth (which was a great game mechanic btw) however you have to be prepared before entering any room or area (which I learned the hard way) cause if you die and did not get a checkpoint, you will be put right back at the start of the area.

1-GTA 5 Online. Best GTA ever btw, however, as expected like many open world online games there will be people there to mess with you especially when you are trying to pull off huge hiests. Sure you cna play online without other players, but once more you've gotta expect the unexpected (such as spawning in a endless black void between heaven and hell) or being killed by a random pedestrian. I dont mean like a gang member, I mean like a out of nowhere person who comes up to you and starts fighting for no reason. Im probably just bad at the game itself, but these things do annoy me.

But many cringe worthy, stupid, or outrageously hard games did inspire my youtube show, nothing but fail in. So some good did come out of them at least.

Tomb of the Giants in Dark Souls. Whoever designed this should have a special place in hell ready for him (or her, you never know). It's so dark, you have to sacrifice your shield for a lantern if you want to see anything. Then the location's filled with 8-feet, machete and bow wielding skeletons, and other ones even bigger that crawl on all fours and can practically one-shot you (or two-shot if you have a shield up at the very moment of them jumping onto you). What's more, there are six instances of the boss from previous location (the Catacombs) in the later part of the tomb, accompanied by infinitely spawning swarms of tiny skeletons.

I just hate Mazes..... Theres not a single level thats ever bothered me unless it was specifically designed to be a maze.

But to be fair.... I haven't played a single one of the above mentioned games.
