Rumor: Xbox Live Diamond to be announced?

According to Gamepro, "Microsoft is currently running some last-minute Hail Mary negotiations in order to beat the clock before they go on stage. As such, the company is currently on PR lockdown."

"According to images posted on NeoGAF, US retailers have begun listing 'GTA V' along with Resident Evil 6 and others for Xbox 360 and PS3. I think were supposed to get a new Alan Wake announcement (supposedly an arcade game).

I just saw footage of Star Wars Kinect, and it's a laggy, boring, s*****-looking mess.

It's not bad in a "I just disagree with this type of game being made" kind of way. It looks bad in the "Man, if this is where gaming is headed thank God I'm about to GTFO" kind. Yeah, it's obviously not finished, but I'd like to hear anyone on this forum attempt to fashion an argument that this looks better than pressing A to jump and X to swing.

Considering this is one of Microsoft's "big" Kinect titles alleged to appeal to the more conventional gamer, the very fact that they're thinking of showing this lets me know all I need to know about their conference.

Only interested in the Halo rumor and maybe get some laughs out of the Kinect stuff. Things like that amazing Star Wars gif. Hell yeah, this is the future of gaming.

With both Sony and Nintendo unveiling new hardware this E3, Microsoft seems like its at a disadvantage in terms of sheer shock value. I'm not totally convinced that showing just quality titles can keep up with the momentum and hype of new hardware, especially hardware that will supposedly be playable to the public. Microsoft needs a megaton announcement. Something that will be out of left field like scoring exclusives to Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Hearts 3 or a Call of Duty title.

Casuals are so important this gen that MS cutting lose Bungie and Bioware (easily its top talent and some of the top talent in the world) and releasing the Kinect boosted it to first place in terms of sales in NA (and maybe Europe for all I know).

I don't expect much in the way of good surprises from MS but I do expect a strong show. Granted, MS is moving out of core game development, but third parties are offering up incredible games and MS is continuing the popular Gears and Halo franchises (the X360's two most popular first party games).

I'm surprised that games like Assassin's Creed: Revelations or Saints Row The Third won't be shown off at Microsoft's conference, but it's no big deal. I'm sure they'll be talking more about those games on the show floor. Big title of the year is Gears Of War 3, no doubt, but games like Skyrim and Forza needs to be talked about too. Very big deal...like Sony, it's all about the games and what they can do to keep fans interested in their system while working on new consoles, if that's such the case. But I find it odd that they would show off a Seasame Street game during the conference...are they doing that because they wish to show that they supoort the "all-family" crowd as well? Such an odd choice, if you ask me!
