Last of Us for PS4 goes gold

Get ready for the PS4 version, it's now gone gold. It's confirmed by the lead animator of Naughty Dog. Going to get this, because i didn't buy it for the PS3. So i am really looking forward to this game on the PS4. Are you buying this?

I was thinking about getting it on release day, but decided to hold off until I have extra money on the side to buy it.

unless, they improve the stealth, a.i. and shooter/melee aspects, rewrite the forced and cliched story/character components and admit they just put everything that's already been done in gaming, but, put a shiny, pretty, pc bow on it, i'll continue to bash the game for it's mediocrity.

the game has gotten the most GOTY awards ever... So it's not mediocre

The only thing that makes The Last of Us stand out is the story.

Gameplay, mechanics, enemy AI is mediocre.

I wish I had a PS4 so I can get it. This is my all-time favorite game, and a framerate and graphics increase is more than welcome.

I never did get around to getting this on the PS3 so I'm really looking forward to getting this version when I get a PS4.

it means it's shipping, it's good to go. They are done with the retail version basicly

That the game has been finished and sent to manufacturing to print copies to be sold. I believe that this saying originated because the master copy was/is pressed on a gold disk.

It means the final version is ready is now hitting the CD printers.

Not going to purchase it because

A. Don't have a PS4

B. The PS3 version is good enough.

C. I don't think to care to replay that game just for a higher resolution. Playing that game twice was enough for me.

Yes Im getting this because I traded in my ps3 version back in the day and regret it. Plus I never tried the multiplayer and heard it was good.

@marcheegsr: The multiplayer is great. It's essentially the same game as the single player

I preordered it for my PS4 already! Can't wait! It should be by my doorstep on the 29th, if not, I'm going to kill the retailer... and it's gonna be nasty... >:(

If you've never played this game on PS3, this is the most sensible conclusion I could fathom.

Graphics are important, but not important enough for me to spend another $60 plus tax on the same game I just played a year ago.

Plus, in all honesty, the PS4 version doesn't look too different from the PS3 version.

"graphics are important" THAT is incorrect. graphics are not important. THAT is what is true.

Put in something you forgot.... Graphics are not important to you but to many it does play a key.

And as someone who didn't use to care that much after how much apart Ps3/X360 have gotten from pc gaming and Ps4/X1 graphics i have to admit it does matter. Take a look at the difference from GTA V for Ps3 to GTA V for Ps4 and see how big a difference there really is.

@HipHopBeats: Actually, if you look closely at the gameplay segments, they're at the exact same resolution as the cutscenes, which looked a little better than the gameplay overall.

Because there are many where graphics play a role and terrible graphics can impact the enjoyment no matter how "good" the gameplay might be.
