I Don't Like Overwatch Here's 20 Reasons Why

Issue 1: No in-game storyline.

Issue 2: No in-game story mode.

Issue 3: Convoluted character abilities.

Issue 4: Buffing and nerfing characters too strongly too often.

Issue 5: Punishing players for leaving games.

Issue 6: Characters feel randomly generated from combos of sexualities, psychologies, and body types.

Issue 7: Characters feel randomly generated from combos of gameplay abilities.

Issue 8: Terrible matchmaking leading to imbalanced matches.

Issue 9: Lack of in-game in-depth explanation of mechanics and skills.

Issue 10: Inverse relationship between skill required versus difficulty of playing a character.

Issue 11: Characters so hard-countered they can't be used in certain matches.

Issue 12: Network gameplay tweaks leading to frustrating unfair situations.

Issue 13: Frequent inconvenient scheduling of updates/maintenance.

Issue 14: Not offering anything larger than a 6-person team.

Issue 15: Not offering free-for-all mode.

Issue 16: Favors damaging enemies slowly over the satisfaction of killing them quickly.

Issue 17: Ranking in ranked typically feels random and unjustified.

Issue 18: Only unlockable weapon skin is gold and takes far too long to unlock.

Issue 19: Ruined Roadhog's one-shot-centric gameplay; then gave it to Doomfist.

Issue 20: Unlocks are rarely based on any in-game achievements, good ones take too long to save currency for (3k takes weeks of marathoning to afford), and lootboxes often contain duplicates which yield barely any currency.

@davillain-: I'm still very mad about what they did to Roadhog.

Life is too short to trip about little things. I like overwatch: its polished, well supported, pretty decently balanced but above all, its just fun

@Fairmonkey: Life is too long to let problems slide by unchecked. Overwatch is more of a loosely balanced encyclopedia of first-person gameplay types rather than a well-polished game. Blizzard has immense room for improvement and the game's flaws are glaring and numerous enough to where I would say gamers have as a culture, completely overlooked these problems. I am unsure why this has occurred. Perhaps the game's few aesthetic/gameplay innovations blind most gamers to the game's many problems. Maybe the departure from the "Call of Battlefield" gameplay formulas was enough for people to overlook these issues. But these fundamental easily observable issues should have been pointed out by critics and they were not, which bothers me greatly because it is the critic's job to be able to at bare minimum point out where faults are. Instead we get tons of "TEN OUT OF TEN BEST GAME EVER HOLY SHIT BETTER THAN SEX" bullshit reviews that overlook these 20 issues I have laid out.

man do you have any brain issue ?

well, I did think it was pretty lacking in game modes and map variation for a full price game. I also didn't care for defensive spawn points being right on top of the final objective area in convoy matches.

But mainly my issues were stylistic, so when I decided it wasn't my thing, I just moved on. Like i hate this trend of rewarding players with ultimate/signature attacks simply for hanging around. I get that better performance builds them faster, but my point is you shouldn't get them at all unless you earn them. Used at the right time, just one of these abilities could turn a match and most of them are pretty brainless to use. I prefer the old fashion way of building them up and using them, losing them if you die. No real progression system, would have liked more gun options on single characters - stuff like that is why I don't play Overwatch, but if you play it and enjoy, have fun.

Also, why are all the defense heroes weak? If Blizzard are going to over-buff characters, why can't they focus on defense heroes?
