How many times do you beat one game?

I usually beat it once and then play other games for a few months. Then I might come back and beat it again. I dont think I haveever beaten a game more then 3 times.

Depending on the game. MW2 i beat it a few times because it was short and fun. But something like fallout 3 just isnt worth it.

I've beaten MGS 3 20 times. That's my all time record. Usually 2 to 3 times per game though. If it's a good one.

Usually once but I will try to do everything possible in it. If I really enjoyed it I may come back to it a few months later to play it again.

It really depends on the game, but generally I might play games I really liked a second time. Three times really seems to be the limit, though.

Just once. Unless it's one of those games wherein you need to finish it once and then keep re-playing them again in order to get the best ending or something.

It depends. I played JC2 twice consecutively because it was so much fun running around just doing crazy stuff. Mass Effect 2 I played through twice as two characters, then waited until now with all the DLC campaigns to use my third ME character.

Dragon Age I ploughed through once, and although part of me says 'try another class', I found it a hard slog doing it just once. I've gone through Mafia 2 and Crysis just once, although I'd like to play Crysis again to try things differently from the stealth approach I used.

If there's a way to mix it up, I'll probably play a game 2 or more times. I'm not an achievement chaser, so unless there's going to be something fresh in another playthrough, I probably won't bother.

It depends, games like Ratchet and clank and Demons Souls I play through many times, because they are just so fun. Other games like Fallout 3 are also fun, but I can't bare to start a new game.

Most games I only complete once. There are some games that I really like that I would complete multiple times. It all depends on the game.

Once. But I tend to play it again years later and beat it again. So maybe once every decade to keep it fresh.

It depends. Most games I don't finish at all, other games, like Super Metroid, I've finished over 100 times at least. I know every pixel of that damn game.

At least two or three times. Only game finished once is Devil May Cry 4 which I found boring. The ones I have played most are Mass Effect 1,2 and GTA: San Andreas (about 6 times each). Since games are expensive and I buy the original copies I tend to play them a LOT

well actually it really depends what kind of game yknow. if its an FPS ,sure why not beat it and wait a few months and beat it again. but if its a RPG where you have alot of options in the campaign like Fable, or Dragon Age origins or alot of bonus stuff you cant necessarliy get on the first shot well then 2-3 times in a row, to try out different things ingame.

Depends really, how much I like the game, am I in mood to replay a particular game...I don't know, usually two, tops three times, only if it's really good though, still, I've known to go overboard sometimes, rarely, but it happens, "Escape from Butcher Bay" for instance, I've beaten that game seven times.

Hey, a man of good taste. Two of the greatest games ever made, I really hope IO gets off their butts and begins working on FF2.

I guess it depends rts I will play the skirmish usually quite a few times before I put it down and rpg might get a second play through but fps and action game pretty much once I have a very good memory of the games I play so I often get bored with in 5 minutes of trying to play a game I have already go through.

Depends on the game and like how long it is and such. Generally I like to finish most games I play at least twice, some I'll play back-to-back and some I'll take breaks in between. There's game that I finished more then 10 times but those are the short arcade type games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Beating a game that I liked more than once was pretty common when I was a kid, but nowadays I don't even have enough time to beat most of the games that I want to play once. 0 = Lack of time or interest. 1 = Typically what I try to do now if I enjoy the game. 2+ = I have to like the game a lot to play through it again.

Depends on the quality of the game... There aren't many games that I play through twice. The only games that I have ever played through more than once are Half-Life 2, Bioshock & Uncharted 1 & 2. And I will be replaying Red Dead Redemption soon.

Games like Mass effect or Knights of the Old Republic, I'll beat a minimum of two times, simply because it's pretty different if you act differently in th game. Games like Call of Duty I'll typically only beat once, though if I get bored, I might play through them again.

All depends on what game it is.

I have beaten Resident Evil remake like.... 12 times and RE 4 maybe 6-7 times because I just love them.

A short FPS with a fun campaign with different difficulty levels like Halo or COD I often beat 2-3 times. RPGs and Action adventure 1-2 times max.

EDIT: The main factor as to why I don't replay other games more is pretty much time. Unless its a short game, I don't really have time to go through and beat a 30 hour game again when I have a backlog of 3-4 games that are waiting unopened to be played.

Hi Rekunta, I also played Super Metroid before. In my opinion it is a perfect example of an old-school game. The game had a map, but you had to mentally mark down points of interest in your own head. Today, games tell you exactly where everything is, remind you all the time, and scream out answers at you.Lance230

Yea, SM is simply amazing, I never get tired of playing it, even back to back over and over again. It's timeless.

It really takes something special for me to bother and go back to replay a game all the way through to the finish. There are only a handful of titles I've beaten multiple times. None more than Sonic 3 and Knuckles, however. Jeez, I own about four or five different versions of that game due to all the compilations it's on, and I've beaten it multiple times on each version. God I love that game.

And after recently finishing Other M, I'm currently replaying Metroid Fusion. Man this game was good, makes me wish I still had my Gamecube so I could play it on the TV, though. :(

Hard to Say.

I know for sure that when it comes to RPG's, creating multiple characters is a must.

Story heavy games I take large breaks in between, like Heavy Rain or MGS4. Action oriented I beat many times and still be enthralled.
