Ok, so I thought it'd be fun to have our own little Best of awards show. If you feel wronged somehow by major award shows, now's the time to step up and cast your vote!

RULES

You can vote for one game only in every category offered here. All games that came out on any platform in 2007 are eligible. You can vote in as much categories as you like. You will vote by sending me a PM. All submissions posted in this thread WILL BE IGNORED and YOUR VOTE DISMISSED. Voting will last from today to Friday, January 18th, 12 PM CET (look it up). Yep, in fact it was the last vote that enabled Uncharted a tie. Persona 3 actually took the lead in the beginning, but Mass Effect managed to tie in the end.

Sweet! I meant to vote last night, but just forgot all about it due to the NPD numbers and my self-imposed LOST DVD marathon. (Must watch every episode again before Season 4!)

Sadly it won in my award show, expect a video for that soon. Anyways a hyped game+bad reviews+a terrible game= disappointment but a hyped game+great reviews+a terrible game= a huge disappointment... Therefore, I think AC deserved it.

I'm sure I'll like Lair better than Assassins Creed. I'm not exagerrating! The problem is Lair could be fixed by fixing the control even though they took it from the market and tried to fixed it but that wasn't enough as it seems while Assassins, thegame was well excuted but the ideas themselves are not fun!

I voted for Assassin's Creed because I just expected almost too much out of the game, not because I found it worse than Lair. In fact Assassin's Creed is an okay game IMO, its just not even half of what I was expecting, and there weren't nearly enough stealth elements included...Looks like I'll have to wait until the next Splinter Cell to get my stealth fix, well unless they change that game too much...Ubisoft seems to be more in favor of innovation, than actually making an overall great game if yet slightly cliched, not everything needs to be uprooted and changed.

Despite huge praise, very few thought it was Game of the Year worthy.

It was just a really great year for games.

Because it's really impressive and raises the bar in many respects for action/adventure games. I don't think it's better than the first PoP game but it's comparable in many ways. Have you played it?

Have I played it? What? You think I go on forums and express my hate for games which I haven't played? pop 2 and 3 have more moves added on the original. When they say pop1 was better they mean in terms of storyline and not game-play.

I dunno what's so impressive about it! Seriously... the free-roaming should be an additional thing not an excuse for empty and bland game-play. Also, what's with the stealth? You hide in a stack of hay and that's it. The font is so small on the menu that I can barely read what's on and the VAs got some Arabic words wrong... they used G instead of J!

Yeah, I agree, except I still didn't really like the combat that much, and the game forces you into almost as much combat as your standard brawler

For one being hyped does not mean its going to be good. From what I saw in trailers and stuff it looked average, I expected it to be not that great. The reviews started to confirm what I thought, then all the hate just lowered my expectations for the game way down. When I played it I was very surprised, I had so much fun with it, I thought it was a great game. Crappy in many ways but overall a great unique experience.

Vader some reviews said it was better than pop in terms of platforming.... but that was a clear lie. Others mentioned that it will be the game you remember for years after playing... sorry but for what?
