I'm feeling this need of destruction and I'm looking for a game that can accomplish that in the best way possible. So I am asking this, which game made you feel more powerful than anyone from the very begining??? I'd say GoW/2, but actually I'm looking for something even stronger. The feeling I'm looking for is something similar to being a priest lvl 40 in NWN.

So tell me, in which game did you ever felt like this?

You can wipe out whole cities with tornadoes and earthquakes and other things in SimCity but I doubt that's what you're looking for.

The last fight in Marvel Ultimate Alliance. You get the power of the gods and go into this huge slugfest where stuff goes flying and explodes against Doctor Doom. Now that felt really superhero like. I enjoyed that a lot.

...Bedtime games...coming exclusively to my bedroom...Lol. this game has been TBA for like a decade...Lol. No that would have to be Simcity on PC the first one when I was a kid...build up a gaint city and just level it with diasters, in its time it was just brilliant no other game was like it but well all good games come to an end...can't be bothered with todays sims because we all know that the entire point isn't to create....its to DESTROY!!! YEH!! Actually Fallout 3 when you have the giant robot called Liberty Prime with you...shoots laser beams out of his eyes and throws nukes attached to his back...yeh that felt good...but I really didn't need to do anything.

Hitman. Definitely got a sense of being powerful in being a professional assassin. Only game I can recall where I had that sense from the get go. Other games, sure, but later in the storyline (like HL2, The Witcher, and others).

Still Japan, but this time it is much more.... dominant

It's not just physical dominance this time, but psychological dominance too.

I have thre canadates:

Ratchet And Clank: Up Your Arsenal After defeating a giant army of aliens with a giant stock of weapons, that make you feel pretty powerful, escspecially with all the cool goodies, such as the R.Y.N.O. (Rip Ya a New One) 3, upgraded to the Rynocerator, one shot from that puppy and 20 flaming balls of fire morph together in mid air and vaporize everything in your sight to dust!

Metal Gear Solid 4 If you play it as a shooter like I do, escpecially after collecting all the weapons from Drebin, you can feel quite powerful. Grenade Launchers, RPG's, Javelins, M4 Custom, Anti Matter Rifle, you get the idea, after taking down an army of GEKKO, you too feel pretty powerful. Who cares about all the sneaking around and using tranquelizers?

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames By far one of the most satisfying games of destruction. Running around a giant map calling in your drunken helecopter pilot to drop down nuclear bunker busters, carpet bombs, cluster bombs, artillery, daisy cutters, and destroying every last city in Venezuala, one word: ASOME!

Rome Toal War, you just get the sense of accomplishment after taking over a city or a whole country. Also seeing your empire and army expand just makes you feel like an emperor.

Zone fo the Enders 2. There's a sequence towards the end where you single handedly take on 5 fully armed and backed battleships... It's amazingly aweseom to see them go down by your hands.

Any FF game you end up being more powerful than pretty much everything, in some of them you pretty much kill Gods. Oblivion and morrowind: Both you end up being basically invincible and kill some "gods" MGS4 on easiest difficulty. Diablo games in general.

Well im gonna ignore some of your requests and just focus on games that let you crush stuff or make your feel powerful. Disgaea is always great for when you wanna feel like a god, but it sounds like you want more action.... So I suggest The Incredible Hulk or D/S/O Warriors(preferrably an Empires version). TIH is great, you can rip cars in half and use them as boxing gloves lol, you can rip the turret off a tank and use it as a club, you can bring down buildings. Dynasty/Samurai/Orochi Warrior games is just hack n slash godliness that lets you hack through hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers.

I'd also suggest any Command and Conquer game as it feels great to finally gain the upper hand in any mission and then just crush your opponent. Bad balance and non action kinda makes me think you wont go for that one either hehehe. Lastly because I dont even really associate this feeling when playing video games but I will go with Assassin's Creed. After you regain most of your abilities the fighting is just insaenly fun. There is nothing like storming into a group of soldiers and leaping onto one of them and stealth killing him as his buddies look on in terror and then dodging and countering all thier pitiful attacks as you cut them down one by one until finall the last couple crap their pants and take off running like scared little girls. And because its all reflex and timing based it feels really good when you do a really clean fight and barely get hit.

Otogi did this is some respects. When you end a combo attack with a strong attack, enemies fly backwards. If there is a earthen wall behind them, it gets dented. If they are slammed into the ground, the ground deforms around them. If a building is behind them, they blow through the walls. Trees, walls, buildings, ground, cliffsides, basically any physical object is destructible in the game. And it's an awesome feeling coming back a couple of levels later and blowing a former boss creature halfway across an open plain with an awesome weapon.

The Hulk for Xbox. Sure The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction is a much better game (my absolute favorite sandbox game) and Hulk is more powerful in that game but I've never felt so powerful in a game before when I played The Hulk. I remember playing other game around the time I played The Hulk and I was like 'WhyTF has this guy weakened so much' then I realized the effect that great game had on me. After that, I never really felt that powerful in a game, even when I replayed The Hulk a few months ago (I got it at my house right now)

Hulk Ultimate Destruction made me feel like a god!!! Or a titan, whatever.... Destroying buildings, tackling down choppers, gamma busters destroying everything within it's radius, throwing people miles away, using debris and cars as your weapons....really now, if that doesn't make you feel powerful, nothing will.

In Peter Jackson's King Kong, the sequences in which you play as Kong are pretty exhilarating, especially when you get to fight the T-rexs. But even when you're jumping around trying to get somewhere you really feel like a giant.

For a man who embodies normality, to take down such a large amount of lumbering behemoths with little to no effort is something that made me feel incredibly powerful. These things have the strength to move literal mountains (there are themselves basically mountains) and all he does is jump around on their backs, clinging onto their hair and stabs them all one by one in the weak points for massive damage.

It sure made me feel powerful... more so than most games I've played.

Yeah, Fallout 3 gives you this sense of power I've never really felt in a game. If someone pisses you off, you can blow their brains out. I just think it's different from FPS since you can gain perks and slaughter just about anyone you want. Great game.

Saints Row 2, simply due to your better aim than the enemy, your usually superior firepower and massive health compared to them. i felt like a holy terror. That one bit of Heavenly Sword is also the stuff of legend.

Agreed. It's why i look forward to Infamous. That said, you feel pretty weak when you start in Crackdown. Also, all the boss fights follow the same structure (fight your way to the top of the structure/building)
