I usally had a even balance but since MW3 came out I have played about 90% of legacy gaming (NES, SNES, GBA, GBC, GC, PS2,PS1 ext)

A good 90% of the games are play are retro. I do have a PS3 and a Wii, but the games are too expensive to buy right now, so I am typicaly getting retro games and playing those.
Playstation 3 I have just over 110 games. Xbox 360 I have 48 games Psvita 5 games. 8 wii games Modern current active systems.
I have 641 games in my collection from sytems NES/SNES/N64/NGC/GBCSega MegaDrive, Xbox, Playstation, Playstation 2, and now PSP joins the legacy systems
By far I am a legacy gamer more than a modern. But I have been playing since 1983.
I mainly play legacy games due to the cost factor. I can pick up roughly 10 games for the price of one modern game. I'll never pay full price on a modern game so I'll wait till they're alot cheaper before I decide to buy.
I don't really think of it as being all that different to tell you the truth. A game is a game. I play slightly more legacy games, overall, but that's not really becasue I think they are better or I like them more, just that I have more of them.
A lot more, because I not only find them more fun to play, but they don't require me to invest hours upon hours to beat. Just yesterday, I was playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles for like the billionth time.
usually a bit mixed. yesterday I bought generations, twisted metal and catherine so I'm playing a lot on ps3 but also today I got my dreamcast fishing games I didn
t have yet, bass fishing 2 and sega marine fishing and I can't stop playing anymore. mostly marine fishing so far with the fishing rod
Since the game is still supported regularly, I would say no.Most of my play time is modern. Unless Counter-Strike: Source is counted as legacy.

For me it sort of varies depending on my mood. Some weeks I play mostly modern games some mostly older ones.penpusherSame situation for me. While I've been playing more PS3 in the past few weeks, for quite a while I didn't even power-on the system. I play most current-gen multiplatform games on the PC with a 360 controller, but I will play PSP sometimes, NES, SNES, etc. It depends on what I feel like playing.
about 50/50 , when I get a new game, I will probably be pre-occupied with that , until I finish it, after which I will play some retro games until I get another new game (which could be a month later due to the price)
Legacy since I own a low end PC and a Wii. The DS is going to be a legacy system soon too.
When it comes to Playstation consoles I tend to get them a generation later. I got the PS1 in 2004 and the PS2 in 2008. So most likely I'll get a PS3 maybe this year or next year.
lately i have only been playing SNES, mainly the donkey kong countrys and link to the past. pretty much just bidding my time till the GW2 beta comes out which i am hopefully in, that way i can judge how much i will like it.
I play mostly modern games. Legacy gaming is fun, but more in a sentimental way. The games from today are so much more advanced; these are the games I was dreaming of when I was a little boy. Games like Anno 1404 are almost perfect in their own genre. Sure it's great to play Sim City on C64, but only so I don't forget where this is all coming from.
My C64 and Amiga's stand right next to me on my deks here. Whenever I feel like playing some sentimental value, it's just a flip of the power switch away... and yes, I do use them quite frequent.
I sold my Xbox360 recently in favor of the PS3. So now, I have the Wii, PS3, Vita, and 3DS as my current-gen consoles. I split it at about 60/40 between Legacy (mostly PS2 and PSP) and current-gen (mostly PS3 and Vita) these days, though once my current-gen backlog is relatively free I will head back to Legacy.
I absolutely do. They're cheaper, so I can buy new legacy platform games a lot more often than I can modern games.
