Gaming is an odd egg, games lower drastically in price the older they get, it's only the rare and sought after ones that garner a higher sum.

It depends. I doubt the expense of this generation of game systems due to the disc form the game comes in.

A mint neo geo AES would set you back abit but metal slug for it can cost upto £1,000 and other Neo Geo games can vary in the hundreds mark.

Panzer Dragoon saga is also sought after and expensive, Castlevania Symphony of the night collectors edition on PS1 use to be quite expensive but im not sure of it's value with all the rereleases and Downloadable versions.. I remember buying 2 copies for £30 and selling them for £120 :)

Some do and some don't. I think the oldest I own for now is my NES. Lost my Atari, C64 and pong machine when I was forced to move.

Prices for older gaming consoles usually drop a few years after they are made and then become higher 20+ years after because by that time they are usually very rare.

The oldest system I own would be atari, but technically it is my mother's. I wasn't born during the atari fad generation. However I do own an old nintendo system with mario, duck hunt and a few other games. But I never play it, it just gathers dust nowadays.

Games don't increase in value when they get old but when they become rare; which often happens with age. However games from the early ninteties and older are much rarer than currentgen games will ever, ever be. The market has grown and gaming is less obscure. My oldest gamingplatforms are an original Gameboy and a Sega Genesis.

A game's value increases when it becomes rare, not when it gets old.

The oldest system I own is a Sega Mega Drive. Still works like a beaut'.
