This was an extra peripheral for the Gamecube that screwed onto the bottom of the system and allowed you to play gameboy games on the big screen. The games still looked nice because 2D sprite, pixely games scale a lot easier than 3D models. No one I know actually used this, I was just wondering whether the accessory was actually a success or if it flopped? I spent a lot of time on handhelds at home as a kid, so having it on the big screen was always great!

Yep sure did. I still have it in perfect condition. It works like a charm. It's like having a GBA SNES attached to your gamecube. Love it.

It is a great devise to have if you have plenty of GB and GBA games, nothing beats playing those games at home on a big screen and not having to worry about batteries. Played Metroid Fusion beginning to end on it.

No it was a commercial favor, and there was some misleading information on how to use it was well. Some places sold it used, but people forget you actually need the CD in the Gamecube for the GBplayer to use it in the first place.

They are the worst add ons ever made.

JK, nah they were good, not many people I knew had one though. If we wanted to play GBA games we used our GBA.

Yeah I got one a couple years back at local Gamestop which was selling them for $10 bucks. I'm glad I bought one than because now I see them going for 3 to 4 times that on Ebay and Amazon with the disc included.

The Game Boy Player is one of my favorite gaming accessories. For me, GBA games are much more enjoyable when played on a larger screen.

The only reason to keep a Gamecube around since any older Wii plays Gamecube games in Progressive Scan and has ports for the controllers and memory cards.

Yup, I got my gamecube and gb player together so It's strange to take it off and make the gamecube not a cube.
