even if my favorite franchise originated from a comic and my favorite iteration of it is a movie?
Yes I mean Batman by this. Just please answer the question.

I have OCD, sorry to say. I'm a gamer first and foremost, and have never been that much of a movie/TV person. But I love the Batman franchise, and whenever I have it as my favorite, IT STICKS. It's stuck as my favorite far longer than anything else I've ever tried to go with. I just don't want that to tarnish my status as a gamer. But since you say it won't, then I can finally settle on it for good. Thank You.
@GasGor2978: Ofcourse no problem!!! I can respect the Batman franchise in general be it movie franchise or game. No problem.
Most people who like video games enjoy novels, graphic novels, it's very common. I myself catch up with One Piece and Made in Abyss whenever new pages are printed, just to give some examples.
If you want to be deemed a "gamer"? I don't think anyone has a right to take that away from you
Random dwellers of the internet throw ludicrous rules all the time, but they have no power. I wouldn't worry about it.
Gamers these days tend to be brainless, dull, stupid and dumb, especially those who luv MULTIPLAYER-GAMES so much (there i am ranting about multiplayer-games again!) so i prefer to be "just someone who plays games" rather than being a "gamer".
My question is why do you even care if someone would consider you a gamer or not? Seeking the approval of others is going to decrease your quality of life.
You can like and do multiple things in life, that's the beauty of it all. Hell, sometimes I have to take a small break from gaming or a certain genre from time to time, but then I come back eventually and it feels fresh and my interest stays intact longer.
