I have been wondering about something and I wonder if people even beat their games until the end since their is so many game to play and I personally have only beaten at least 10 games this year.

Most console games I own I finish. I do have a large backlog currently, mainly due to the HD collections I've procured, but this gen I've beaten most of my games.
Handheld titles are a different story, especially DS or PSP games. 3DS games seem like I will beat them regularl; there was just something about the DS titles that kept me from beating a lot of them.
I don't support game abuse at all, beating your games is just wrong...

Boring joke yay? Seriously though, I often find myself quitting once I reach the "end dungeon" in rpgs, the magic just goes away. I get discouraged to find hordes of monters leveling up ten levels only to have it all disappear once the game is over. I prefer just running around doing side quests until I become fored. As for other games, non rpgs, I tend to try but I get bored rather quickly. I might sound crazy here but for this very reason, I like when games aren't too long!
I beat probably about 2/3 of the games I own (my backlog is very incorrect, too lazy to fix lol). I'm not much for getting 100% in games tho.
I have beaten 40% of all my games. There are others which have no end eg Puzzle games. Plus games that I just cannot beat. I won't beat finishing Battletoads this lifetime.
I have been playing since 1983 so that is 3000 Videogames in my lifetime across all systems PC, Arcade, Home consoles, portables. 40% is not too bad a ratio.
I always beat games I play, with none currently unfinished (even if I dislike the game I'll make it to the credits). If I start a game, I won't play any other until I've finished it. Couldn't do it any other way.

back in the day I used to beat (almost) every game...but now with the length of games and mostly the multiplayer games, i really have to be into the game to beat it...and there has been quite a few, but even crappy games before ps3 and xbox I would try to beat cause thats all there was...
I always do my best to finish a game I have purchased, even if I don't want to. There are only a few games I own that I haven't beaten.
I've always made sure I've beaten all my games, but lately my backlog has grown to about 6 games I still need to play through.
I beat a game every so often. However, most games I either get to a point where I become frustrated with a part of a game and never beat it or I give up on it because of boredom or a better game in the pipeline. If the game has a storyline I just wiki it to get caught up.
I agree with this. Although I do not know whether there is too much other stuff going on around me or if I am just getting bored of video games period. I bought disappointment after disappointment and now I just do not know what to do. I start playing a game new or old and just get turned off by it pretty quickly. I used to get addicted to games but now most games just leave me disgusted or bored a week or two later. I am hoping Guild Wars 2 changes that for me. I need something different I think. Tired of the same old sh*t sold time and time again disguised with a different title.I used to always beat most of my games back in the previous generation (PlayStation 2 era). These days I just have a short attention span. Too busy with other things going around me.

If I enjoy a game, I'll beat it and try to get every collectible collected, sidequest quested, and area explored. A game isn't finished until I get everything
