Final Fantasy X
The Voice Acting...and the reason Tidus hated Jecht...(I thought it was very trivial)
Otherwise I played the crap out of that game lol.
the tower section of MGS1 , the first tower to be specific, since it forces you to rely on combat , in a very small space, in a game thats not built for alot of combat.
F1 Career Challenge - The steering. It should be my wet-dream of a game, but the handling is really nasty on a gamepad.
One part in the Witcher 2 when you have to follow the footsteps *exactly* of the two Kingslayers or you have to start over. Reeeally bad.
one that comes to mind is the racing mission "Farewell My Love" from GTA San Anfreas. You were given a car with terrible handling and you had to race a really long course in the hills which was full of dangerous turns and cliffs , not to mention that after a few crashes your car would explode. I remember using cheats in this mission in my first playthrough of the gameIC3_C0LD_ZEROI always use cheats for that mission, hate it. I just use the industructible car cheat, blow up the other cars by ramming into them, then just go slowly unti the end of the race.
that level in the original HALO where you have to follow that annoying blue orb thing through the same hallway re-used 500 times. every time you think you're done, you just get to an elevator that takes you a level up to another series of that same goddamned hallway. worst. level. of any game. ever.

I don't think there are cheats for that pile of dung.

Collectibles they put in games like Darksiders, Homefront and GTA IV. And I don't want to forget the online part in GTA IV. That was really sh-it
I'm gonna be that guy and say the Water Temple from OoT. Wasn't "challenging", just really tedious an filled with unecessary back tracking. Also, the Metal Gear RAY fight from MGS2... Along with the fight against Vamp in the square room... Both really annoying and tedious boss fights in a game that, while flawed, is still pretty enjoyable.
While I'm not to this part yet, I hear everyone hates the triforce fetch quest in Wind Waker.
For me it's the first 10-15 levels of my character in any Elder Scrolls game.. feels like I suck no matter what, then once I break that level range it's all awesome.
The last boss of Star Ocean: The Second Story. He's such a cheap mofo. His first form is easy, but his second form is so fast it is downright unfair. He'll do a devastating spell, and your health will be shaved down quite a bit, but you'll be able to recover. However, just when you think you're in the clear, he'll do another devastating spell not even a full second later. It is maddening. It probably took me twenty-something tries to beat that boss. Good thing I had bunny shoes to make me super fast. I don't see how he can be beaten without them.
Escorting EVA in MGS3, there was 1 time I got no alerts on Hard, god only knows how I did that because I cannot do it now...
Probably made a lot harder for myself too because in MGS games I deliberately do not kill enemies

Wow, never knew people found those missions on San Andreas so hard, I thought everything was crafted perfectly but I also thought it was a cakewalk, I admit the RC mission where you actually pilot the plane was a bit tedious but 1) it's optional (you can actually skip all of zero's missions in SA and 2)
I want to play SA now but unfortunately I have a copy on pc which isn't installing properly....might just buy it on demand >_> definitely in my top 10 favourite games ever if anything..

Ohhh, the Library *shudders*. Yeah, that level was horrid. One thing that really pissed me off recently was Final Fantasy X (yeah yeah, I'm a late-comer), but for another reason; I hate RPG's on rails. If it's not an action RPG, and requires real growth, etc., I want to be able to explore. Otherwise, it's poorly fleshed out.Â
