To help jump start the F1 2007 BATracer season, please indicate if you want to join in... The first prize will have a choice of a GS Plus subscription or Kool Tools from BATracer..

To qualify for the prize:

1) The player has to be active on F1PU by posting race reports for the team or driver,

2) Choose a car a top ranked car the first season and a low ranked car in the second season.  OR choose middle ranked cars for the two seasons.  Points will be tallied and the player with the highest score wins the prize.

To clarify the rankings

Top ranked cars: Ferrari, McLaren, BMW

Middle ranked cars: Renault, Williams, Honda, Toyota, Red Bull

Low ranked cars: Toro Rosso, Skyper, Super Aguri.

YOUR OBLIGATION:

Choose your ranked car category and indicate if you wish to participate to win the prize and you will be randomly selected to sit in a car.

For example, Aloushi can post: YES, I WANT TO PARTICIPATE.. I want a top/low rank car... I will draw his name from hat A and the car from hat B and match the car and the driver.

As a veteran, I'd like a top car please or a Super Aguri. I've not been there in recent series, but after narrowly losing to Jason Poremba in season 4, I want my revenge!!! :Pjamie_w_91

Top and bottom for me please.  With my ranking being 53rd I am feeling confident. Also about the first prize(GS plus subscription), isn't the payment monthly so I am guessing you pay for the first month we pay for the rest.kimi_da_iceman2

Aloushi: In the past, there were concerns that BATracer may take away participation from the forum, so I can suggest that we halt games during F1 race weekends so everyone can enjoy the race and discuss the race as well as participate in Vision F1.SMUboi

Yeah, I agree about this point.

BTW, I think that we should enlist Renault in the top ranked cars; they are the champions after, also it will help in balancing the team per category ratio by putting 4 teams in each category.

 I'll go for a low in the 1st season and top in the 2nd.

Also, I'll send a message to all members and officers to inform them about the new season.

no no... you guys misunderstood... top and bottom are in the same hat... so if you get top car in season 1, in season 2 you get bottom car... or if you get bottom car in season 1 you get top car in season 2... the reason I do this is so that there is a random element for luck to be involved as Jules will change the game dynamics as the season goes on. :)

Also Aloushi.. the reason I put BMW as a top car and Renault as a middle car is because there is a chance for players to get lucky or unlucky.. we can say that Super Aguri should be a middle car so someone at the bottom will be lucky as well... plus with 22 cars and 11 teams... there is no way to have 4 teams in all three ranks..

Shouldn't things go as follows:
1. there are 3 hats, 9 teams and 22 players.
2. hat 1 contains the top teams, hat 2 contains the middle ones, and hat 3 contains the low ones.
3. we start for example w/ players who want top teams.
4. we draw for the first player, for example SMUboi who wants a top car, and he gets a Ferrari. We return the Ferrari name to the hat and draw for player 2. Say he gets Mclaren and then player 3 gets a Ferrari, at this point the Ferrari name is completely drawn out from the hat as the maximum number of Ferrari cars has been achieved (2 cars).
5. the same process goes for the other 2 hats.

I suggest we start the game immediately after the Bahrain GP so that we have somthing to do until the next GP which is a month after Bahrain

Repeating myself from another thread here: I think this 4 week break is the perfect time to start up this BATracer season.

Side note on this: I was hopping BrianEK would join us this time. Should we send out a union wide PM to see if we can fill the last spots? I don't recall one being sent out yet.
