The flagging system

Is totally fine for reporting abusive posts from other regular GS users,as people could actually abuse it.

But for flagging spam, it's totally stupid. Used to take the time to flag spam around but I got locked out today, I guess I flagged too many of them,fun!

So,will there be a change to that soon?

I've reset your Karma for you.

It's not a great system but it's on the list of changes I think.

Changes that will come within the next 2 years, I guess?

@MonsieurX We really cant say but without speaking outta lines could be some time near the end of the 2015 year but Im not 100% on that cause stuff could get bumped above it so we will see what happens

Well still report the spam if your Karma gets to high again we will see about fixing it for you

It'd be a tad annoying having to send a message to a mod everytime it happens...

@MonsieurX: Myself and several other mods are resetting/reducing the karma of several users we know to report spam posts and other inappropriate content correctly periodically (or for some - on every report) when dealing with reports at this point, so you shouldn't be encountering this nearly as often as otherwise. The karma system really does need fixing (and the sooner the better) however if it's going to stay. I have seen a few instances of it correctly karma-banning some users such as trolls so it's not entirely useless as is however.
