hello, just a quick suggestion, ive allways thought it would be a good idea to have a rough estimation of how long it takes to complete a game, on the summary page for each game.

any chance of that being added?

thanks, leezee

just to clarify. in the gamespot review box for each game, i would like to see an ETC bracket (ETC = Estimated Time of Completion)

eg. difficulty: medium

      learning curve: about 1 hour

      ETC: 6-8 hours

This would give users an idea of how long the MAIN SINGLEPLAYER game will take to complete.

i would also like to see an ETC+ bracket to estimate how much playtime can be achieved from the main singleplayer mode + any extras in a game.

eg. difficulty: medium

     learning curve: about 1 hour

     ETC: 6 - 8 hours

     ETC+: 10 - 14 hours

I dont think i can make it any clearer, so i shall let you decide what is best.

(agree with me or die! mwahahaha!   :P :D )

yes, i edited my 2nd post.

1st post = semi formed idea

2nd post = fully formed idea

3rd post = addon to 2nd post (i thought it would be easier to read as 2 posts rather than 1 long post) correct? :P

They usually mention that in the written review.

usually, but not allways.

plus it can be a real pain searching through a 2 page review just to read one line of it.

If you are interested in buying a game it is best to read the full written review anyway so it shouldn't be a matter of searching through a review to get to something in particular but rather read the whole thing to find out everything about the game you are interested in.

yes, that is also true. But with some games, eg superman returns, R6 vegas, gears of war, i already know i want to buy it, i just dont know if im gonna get my moneys worth when i do.

i often read full reviews but it would be good to just have a quick reference for the times when im lacking time and patience. i can only assume that my response has been so negative because all the people who would agree with me are off doing something more important with their time lol. :P

I think that is a great idea. I understand your post and I had that idea too but didn't post it.

Make that two points. Reviews are written after the reviewer has finished the game, yes? It shouldn't be that hard to provide an estimation, and it's quite useful. One of the main criteria influencing which games I buy is the length.

yes but not on the summary page, the summary page is where you go when you want a nutshell description of a game.

Yes but Antisocial was talking like there was no estimation what so ever.
