Collection of Comment System Bugs

Since about 3pm central time yesterday I have noticed some issues with the comment system, a few which have been previously mentioned in other threads here.

Starting with those, going to check on my own comments leads to a page that does not display any of my recent comments and also fails to load the css, leaving the page a mess with everything stacking on a white background.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)

The second was someone noticed an article with 5 comments but none showing up. I noticed this on a different article yesterday, should have been 6 comments but 3 were not displaying.

The 3rd is that when I try to upvote another users comment often times I get a red bar at the top that says "Upvoting isn't working right now, please try again later". This had fixed itself for a while but does not appear to be working again.

No errors pop up in the console for the article pages, only on the profile page.

Looks like upvoting has been broken since yesterday

@suicidesn0wman: I was able to verify all 3 of these. It looks like our push yesterday to fix replies had some bad side-effects. We'll get these cleaned up asap. Thanks for the report!

Upvoting is still inconsistently broken.

Yeah like Thanatos2k said, the upvoting is still broken for some reasons.

There's also a long-running bug in which clicking on a the link from a comment reply notification will NOT take you to the comment in reference if that comment is in anything but the first page of comments.

@wemmick: I get that it may take some time to find the problem and resolve it, but seriously, why the hell don't you have a backup of the working file to throw up until you've figured it out? I've said it before, if I pulled this kind of shit at work, I'd be out of a job.

The message is a red banner at the top of the browser reading: "Upvoting isn't working right now. please try again later"

@wemmick: Oops! My apologies - by clearing my cache and cookies it works now. Must have been something stored from a browsing session - perhaps from when upvoting was broken previously.

@wemmick: I just tried it on the Indigo Prophecy PS2 to PS4 article, it didn't work.

Mac 10.10.2, Chrome 51.0.2704.103 (64-bit)

Edit: Second attempt worked, didn't clear cache or cookies.

@wemmick: I found a cosmetic issue while checking out the patch. If you go to a users profile, click the link to switch to their most recent comments and click on the thumbs up, it takes you to gamespot.com/vote with the JSON message.

Also all of the comments on my own feed do not indicate that I have my own vote counted, they're all grey instead of orange.

@wemmick: 2 more issues, though one probably isn't a surprise.

If I use the thumbs up to upvote someones comment through their profile page, it doesn't increase the users upvote count. I went to the review page where the commented I tested on is located and tried to remove and add the thumbs up back and the count stayed at 1.

I'll send the second issue via the support@gamespot email, I don't think what I found is a security flaw, but I'd rather not take that risk.
