Can you please stop the auto-playing video ads?

Gamespot mods,

I really want to go to your site with my Adblock turned off, but I can't deal with the auto-playing video ads that have audio playing in the background. Either A) if possible, then you need to turn off that option yourselves, or B) ask your ad provider to stop sending those types of ads to your users. They slow down the site/browser, unnecessarily bother your users, and are just plain annoying.

If you do this, myself and I'm sure many others will gladly turn off our Adblock on your site. It's a simple way for you to get more revenue and earn some good will from your visitors/users, so I highly suggest that you seriously consider this.

@PCEng93: We don't allow auto play audio ads. They are placed there by ad buyers who have found holes in an ad network that serves us ads. Can you tell me where you live and what the ad was for so we can find it and take it down?

Thank you as well, edgework, for your response. It was a Corona beer ad on your homepage, and I live in Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks for taking this seriously and doing something about this.

@PCEng93: Are you still seeing that ad? You should be seeing nothing but Pizza Hut ads on the homepage now.

I have this problem too. Those ad guys are trying to sneak their way in. I have to go to this site with my sound off. Plus I can't see the ads the banner is usually just black And I can only hear the sound.

@Ghost120x: Are you seeing the Pizza hut ads? Where are you located?

As of today, yes I see Pizza Hut ads. Usually I don't see the ad and there is just black space so I don't know who is the ad provider. It did sound something like an infomercial.

It seems fine to me now. I see the Pizza Hut ads, which I can handle. Thank you!
