Ad lagging my screen really bad

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not as it had never happened before today. There is a prince of persia pop up ad that floats at the top of my screen on gamespot. I cannot scroll properly while this Ad is there so I close it but every page I turn to it reappears. I understand gamespot needs to make money but the same Ad on every page I visit that lags the screen is a bit overboard. Anyway to fix this other than paying for gamespot?

i will suggest you to use adblocker program, adblock plus if you are using firefox.

on the other hand if the ad has any 'ad feedback' link, use it to express ur opinion
