Ordinances

As mayor, you can enact one of four ordinances, or laws, to get your town to match your play style.

• Early Bird - If you like to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the morning, set this ordinance to make all of the shops open earlier and have your citizens wake up at dawn.
• Night Owl - The reverse of the Early Bird ordinance, this allows you to continue shopping long into the night and stay up watching the stars with all your new friends.
• Bell Boom - Set this ordinance to increase the amount you'll get for recycling items and the number of medals you can win on the island. (Watch outthis law will also increase the cost of new items.)
• Keep Your Town Beautiful - Choose this ordinance to stop your flowers from wilting, prevent trash from appearing, and keep those pesky weeds at bay.
