Smash up everything, or destroy a group of cars, or punish your driver by throwing him from the windshield.

I was very excited for this game to come out, and I think that it's a very good game, that has a lot of fun, but yet, some frustration. The gameplay is okay, but Bugbear could really work on the handling for the next FlatOut, because it is garbage in this game. And some of the upgrades might not have a change in them, because when I upgraded my tires, handling etc, I didn't see a change, I have only noticed differences in speed. Flying out your windshield is a part of realism for this game, but in the first one, that's all that ever happened, you just kept on flying out of your car. It will only happen if you smash into a wall over 100 Mph or something, but it will also happen if you total your car. Also, the handling does feel a little weird, like you don't have total control over your car. Oh and one thing to tell you, try not to use your nitrous-oxide for jumps, because you will end up in a serious accident, or you will go flying through objects, and then end up in a serious accident. If you're lucky, it won't happen. There are also many cars to pick from, and you can smash 'em all up!

The Graphics in this game are pretty good, but occasionally you will have a graphical glitch, like something that you destroyed might get stuck with your car. It looks weird, but it happens now and then. The car damages are nice, and there is great looking destruction. You can basically destroy anything that you see on the track, and destroying other cars are very cool. The destruction derbys are pretty cool as well. For the stunt mode, you can destroy anything with you character or with your car, and I thought that was pretty amazing. There are terrible character faces in in-game races, they look just rotten, but it's not really a big issue. The wipe outs are very cool, when you trash an opponent into a wall or use extreme force on them, you see their car get busted up, it is fun just to destroy cars, and destroy everything.

The sound is excellent, with all the smash sounds, engine sounds, scenary sounds, object crunching sounds, they all sound great. It's a really good addition to this game, and I believe that it took a little time to put all the sounds in here. The soundtrack is very good, for the exception of Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard, it's very good. When you go flying out of your car, and you splatter against the ground, you will hear a splattering sound, but it would be better if there was a big pile of blood, but oh well. This game has online mode, as well as 2-player mode. So this game might be worth the price, but it would definately be worth a lower price. The controls are easy to get used to, and there are times that you will be frustrated because of the bad handling.

Flatout 2 is a very good game, and it's not burnout, but it has it's own style of playing. So and racing or driving fan, should not miss this game because it is a great game. So probably rent it, because you might get bored of it. The game could be hard, but you will eventually get used to it, and then you will be destroying your opponents, which is more fun.
