One of the best stories ever told.

Final Fantasy X is the best scripted game out there today. No contest. FFX Delivers one of the most powerful and moving tales of destiny ever. The sadness of the world of spira is overwhelming, but yet these people still manage to find joy in daily life. I won't touch to much on the story, simply because that's the best part you should discover on your own. The gameplay is rock solid. I'll admit, I was a first time Final Fantasy player when I picked this one up. It took me minutes to get a grasp of the simplistic, yet deep gameplay. Although a lot of people complain that the turn based battle system is weak compared to the active battle system, I tend to disagree. It gives you more time to think, and plan out your strategy. Although there aren't any different game modes per say, the battles get mixed up constantly with different combinations of combatants, equipment, abilities, and aeons. The game is incredibly long compared to most games out there, but well worth playing through till the end. The graphics, even by today's standards, are mind blowing. The only downfall is the matching of the character animation to what they are saying. Sometimes they're not acting, or moving like they should for what they are just saying. Some of the voice overs where pretty bad, but the goodness of the game outweighs this small problem. If your silly enough to not have bought this yet, do so now. It's on the greatest hit's line, so it's super cheap. A MUST HAVE for anyone who owns a PS2.
