Absolutely beautiful graphics and great storyline. Pretty much great at everything.

What can I say? This is a great game. The graphics are stunning. Of course, FFX is everything you want it to be- a freaking masterpiece!!! You basically start out as some blitzball athlete called Tidus trying to live up to his legendary dad's legacy. FFX has a great storyline and I really don't wanna spoil it.
Like every other FF game, this one is turn based and stuff. "Leveling up" is like defeating enemies and getting spheres. Ther are many kinds of spheres that allow you to move on this map thing. Every coordanite on the map has a benefit. For example, a power sphere can let you move to an attack up coordinate. Every character has the same map, so you can eventually run into each other with characters. Don't worry about organization. Each character has his/her own color that shows the progress made in the sphere map. So a mage can learn fighting moves while a fighter can learn black magic. This is a good system because you can't really abuse leveling up and getting to level 92835792342 when you're fighting the second boss or something.
Weapons have a variety too. You can choose a super strong weapon with no efects, or a mildly strong weapon that causes petrification. Depending on how you want your party, you can make your weapons accordingly. In battle, you may only choose up to 3 characters. But if one character is dying or something, you can switch him/her out with another person in your party. But if the 3 combattants die, you lose the battle. GAME OVER LOL!! I know what you're thinking, "why can't the others just sub in for the dead people?" That's someting you should ask square enix.
Overall, Final Fantasy X is by far the best RPG ever. It's graphics are amazing- sometimes you think that it's real footage. The soundtrack is great. The music never gets old. And no, I'm not a geek who listens to video game music. You'll find yourself humming the battle theme for a WHILE. Extremely long adventure will keep you going for over a hundred hours. I'm not kidding. The storyline really shines too. Don't worry, it's not a crappy storyline with an "I am your fatha" scene. It's a great game on the PS2. If you're thinking of getting a PS3, that's fine, too. But FFX is a MUST HAVE for any PS2 owners. I don't care if you like RPG's or shooting games. Just get this damn game :D
