Despite what people say, this game is awesome and fun!

User Rating: 9.2 | Final Fantasy X-2 PS2
This is a great game. Plus I like reviewing sequels before the original. This game is fun, funny, and more action-y than any previous FF I've played (asumming FFIX's battle system is similar to previous FFs for the PS1). Whoever doesn't like this game is just afraid of change, because this is what this game gives us.

Gameplay:
FFX-2 brings back the ATB system in a way that is very fun, and it keeps you on your toes. It's very fast paced, which you'll need since you won't level up every battle or have a reason to have a long battle (like FFX). Switching between jobs is really fun, too, because different curcumstances call for different abilities. It's also fun to get new Dresspheres because each one has certain attributes that help you inside and outside of battle. You can also equip accessories which have various effects. The way to change Dresspheres during battle is via Garmet Grids. You can arrange Dresspheres on it, and they can be equipped to characters. Each Garmet sometimes have equip effects, too. There are some flaws, like if you're using an item or magic and the battle ends, you'll use it, which could cost MP or items that were unwanted. Some may complain that there are only 3 characters, but it's less to worry about. Getting all the abilities for one Dressphere is enough.

Graphics:
Not much has changed since FFX, but the graphics are still great. The characters do have better and more lively exrpressions, and the few FMVs are all spectacular. Yuna's skirt moves as you walk, and when you talk to people, the dailog is in a little box which looks so much better than white words on the backgruound.

Sound:
The sound is awesome in this game, and you'll be humming the battle tune more than FFX's. They are more upbeat, and this is a good change since FFX's weren't even that good. There are two songs in which Yuna sings, and some people may complain that this is stupid or pointless. But if you payed attention to the story you'd get why and appreciate it. The two songs are great, too.

Value:
I played this game 5 times, and it's still fun. It allows you to skip cutscenes, which allows for great replay value when playing a New Game Plus, which is a feature that lets you start a game with the items and abilities of the last game. There is also a lot of non-linear gameplay and sidequests, so it has a lot to offer if you didn't get 100 percent the 1st time through, which is extremely hard.

Tilt:
I loved this game, it's fun and has great replay value, and if you do extra side missions and such, you'll unravel the complex story and interesting character backgrouns that most people probably missed. I've spent at least 120 hours on this game, and it's still fun.

Conclusion:
Anyone should buy this game if they like FF and/or FFX. Especially if you liked FFX's story (or didn't). You'll be surprised very much. This game isn't girly, just different. It has it's dramatic moments, and it's funny ones. This game will definitely keep you occupied for a while.
