Nice game, nice story, messy combat system. But don't skip this game if you love the series.

The combat system sorta fell apart on me after Squall just became too strong. He was like 25 levels higher then my other members. It happened that way because the game forces Squall into your party for almost the entire game, then it awards more exp for dealing the final blow to an enemy (this is going to be Squall like 85% of the time) then if you try to keep your party balanced by switch in and out your alts to keep them clsoe to the same level, Squall takes off and ends up way too strong. Then if you give him Ifrit's str bonus for the entire game he ends up WAY overpowered. I guess a better choice would have been picking my main party at the top of the game and sticking to it.
There's a ton of great stuff in this game too. Love the card game and I grew to enjoy the junction/draw system. Fun weapon upgrade using mats you have to get mobs to drop/steal. Fun game, don't skip it if you are a fan of the series.
