Possibly the best Final Fantasy game ever released.

Since its release in the early 90s, I've played through FF IV countless times cause it's simply an amazing game, which set the standard for rpgs.

FF iv introduced us to the active time battle system, raising the bar from the previous turn-based system, which lacked depth in many ways. FF IV contains a very fascinating and twisting story, which develops nicely along with the many characters of the game, who all are very interesting and different.

You play as the dark knight Cecil, who is captain of the baron airforce called Red wings. After a mission of slaughtering Cecil questions his kingdom's plans and his king's judgement, and therefore he's stripped as commander of the red wings. The story then slowly develops and Cecil decides to give up his black magic, cause he needs the light in order to fight darkness.

The musical score of this game is just plain awesome; there isn't really anything more to say- it was the best game music back then and it's still the best game music in the present time.

The graphics were good back then, but not the best, that's why graphics have only received a 9.

Replay value of this game isn't perfect, but it's alright. You can get access to additional summons like bahamut, leviathan, asura, imp, bomb etc. and you can obtain the ultimate weapons of the respective characters.

This game is so fun and interesting, cause it's straightforward all the time. that you'll find yourself playing through it multiple times. The boss battles are all very well-designed and they differ a lot from eachother, so you'll find refreshment whenever you encounter a new one. Most of them can be quite a challenge, especially the ones later in the game, but if you got the easy version of the game, they might all be pushovers.

I recommend grabbing the hard version of this game, it makes it a helluva fun more.
